Atlanta – Local Attractions

Tuesday, June 18th, 2013

Visit the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. This aquarium is the only aquarium in North America to have the Whale Shark. The Whale Shark is the largest fish on earth reaching up to 40 feet in length. Take in a Dolphin show with live actors and fantastic costumes, then stop for lunch or dinner at the Café Aquaria for some local or international cuisine.

Six Flags Over Georgia is a thrilling adventure for the whole family. Take the Plunge and really get your heart pounding as you drop 16 stories while standing straight up, or try Batman-the ride as you fly over and through Gotham City on this ground breaking new ride. Then take a wonder through the Carrot Patch with the kids and see Bugs Bunny and all his Looney Tune friends.

Go to the World of Coca-Cola and enjoy 127 years of America history. At Happiness Theatre you will venture inside a Coke machine as you learn the lessons of Happyfication. The Coca-Cola Loft lets you look at the history of Coke starting at the beginning in 1886 with artifacts from now and then. Try to sneak into the Vault and see if you can come out with the secret formula of Coca-Cola, no don’t do that, I’m kidding, that might get you arrested. Have your picture taken with the famous Coca-Cola polar bear, then go inside a real bottling plant and see Coke being made.

Did you know Coke is sold in every country in the world except for Korea and Cuba?

Take a guided walking tour of Underground Atlanta and learn about the history of the city. The tour is led by a professional historian and includes historic sites featuring the Battle of Atlanta, Gone with the Wind, the importance of the railroad, Martin Luther King Jr, and the 1996 Olympics. Underground Atlanta also includes lots of shopping. Every Wednesday the food trucks roll in for lots of good old fashion southern cuisine and some not so old fashion choices too.

Pick up your RV in Atlanta and get ready to soak up some southern hospitality, city excitement, and relaxing scenic drives.

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

Rent an RV in Georgia, “The Peach State”, if you would like to enjoy some southern charm. Georgia RV rentals are a great vacation for those who wish for a quiet pace, delicious food, and the peaceful beauty of the countryside.

Georgia - Desoto Falls
Georgia – Desoto Falls

Georgia is one of many great places to golf 365 days a year in the USA, although, Georgia RV rentals have been described as the golf vacation of a lifetime because of its five distinctly different regions. RV rentals in Georgia are quite popular for golfing trips.

Cycling, tubing, paddling, and rafting are also quite popular because of Georgia’s diverse geography. Make sure you pack bicycles into your Georgia RV rental so you can explore Georgia’s mountains, beautiful coastal flatlands, off-road trails, paved pathways, and country roads. For endless tubing, paddling, and rafting opportunities, take your Georgia RV rental into the mountains, the Piedmont, or along the coast. The mountains in Georgia offer winding rivers, lakes, and whitewater rafting down the Chattooga River which has been nationally designated “Wild and Scenic River”. Take your Georgia RV rental to Piedmont for slower moving rivers and calmer paddling. Paddling down Georgia’s coast gives a wide range of experiences. You will find alligators, dolphins, all sorts of wildlife, and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. If you’re keen to go for a hike, don’t miss The Appalachian Trail as it is used and maintained by hikers from all over the world.

Agritourism is strong in Georgia, so feel free to park your Georgia RV rental at an agricultural, horticultural, or agribusiness operation and go on a farm tour, hayride, fish hatchery tour, or a pick-your-own produce adventure.

Georgia also boasts a wide variety of public gardens. There are a few that are specialty but most expose an intricate range of garden types.
