Nevada is the perfect place for a road trip. From the Grand Canyon to the Hover Dam and everything in between. Las Vegas offers so much for the RV enthusiast as well. It’s not all about hotels. Staying in Vegas in an RV offers up a whole different world. So we’ve put together our favorite places to stay and do for the ultimate Las Vegas RV road trip. Plus with camping access near Las Vegas means that you’ll have quick access to the Strip and the outdoors like Red Rock Canyon or Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

With temperatures in the low 60s and over 300 days of sunshine the weather is prime for camping, five-start dining, world-class shows, endless slot machines and an early afternoon tennis match or two. The options are up to you.

Where to stay:
Check out the app The Dyrt. They have the most campgrounds in an camping app and make it easy for you to find what you’re looking for.

Friday, June 16th, 2017

Route 66 is an iconic road trip route worth putting on your bucket list. So rent an RV and start the drive!

Chicago
Between Cloud Gate, Navy Pier and the Lake Michigan shore line the windy city has loads to offer and is a great starting point to this great road trip. Historic Route 66 awaits.

Springfield
Route 66 signs are well marked heading from Chicago to Springfield. The Lincoln Presidential Museum, Lincoln Home and Abraham Lincoln’s Tomb can all be found downtown Springfield and is a great stop.

Meramec Caverns
Missouri holds one of the greatest of the old Route 66 tourist attractions – the Meramec Caverns. Guided tours of these extensive limestone caves are well worth the stop. Tours are just over an hour long.

Tulsa
If museums are your thing, Tulsa’s Philbrook Museum hosts vast a art museum in an Italian style villa with exhibits from around the world surrounded by acres of lush gardens.

New Mexico
New Mexico boasts the mother of all road attractions including: Cadillac Ranch, Midpoint Cafe and the Route 66 Auto Museum in Santa Rosa. If you’re in need of a big break, stop in Albuquerque for an air balloon ride.

Flagstaff
A quick stop to see the Petrified Forest National Park and the Meteor Crater is a must. An even further detour to El Morro to see the signatures of road trippers from past centuries.

Las Vegas
On the trip from Chicago to Las Vegas make sure to visit the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. The Colorado river has forged a mile deep, 18 mile wide and 277 mile long gauge into Arizona, don’t miss this stop!

Class C RV Rentals

Tuesday, February 7th, 2017

Class C RV’s are the most common type of RV. Class C RV’s are characterized by the large bed directly over the drivers cabin. Class C’s are available in many sizes. I have seen them as small as 22’ and as larger are 35’. These motorhomes tend to sleep more people than a similar sized Class A as you get that extra bed over the driver. Most Class C RV’s allow you to walk from the driver’s area into the cabin of the RV, but I have seen exceptions to this, so it is always good to ask before you rent the RV if this is important to you. This RV will tend to be a little easier to drive compared to a Class A motorhome because the wheelbase is much more similar to regular passenger vehicles. In the end this is the most popular type of RV simply because of the extra sleeping space that it provides. Class C RV’s can be rented from almost any major city across the US including, Phoenix (PHX), Los Angeles (LAX), Chicago (ORD) San Francisco (SFO), Denver (DEN),Boston (BOS) Miami (MIA), Orlando (MCO), Ft Lauderdale (FLL) Las Vegas (LAS), RENO (RNO), New York City (NYC), Dallas (DFW), Salt Lake City (SLC), and Seattle (SEA).

Class A RV Rentals

Monday, February 6th, 2017

Class A RV’s are characterized by the large flat front, similar to a bus. While Class A RV’s tend to be the longest of the RV’s available they also tend to sleep fewer people as there is no bed over the driver’s area of the RV. Class A RV’s also tend to be the most luxurious RV’s available, having more high end features. These RV’s are usually over 28’ long and some can be as long as 45’. Driving a Class A RV will take a little practice as they drive a little differently than most vehicles. You will need to take corners wider than with most vehicles as a Class A handles more like a bus. Any Class A RV that you find available for rent on this site will only require a standard driver’s license. Class A’s can be rented from Phoenix (PHX), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), Denver (DEN), Miami (MIA), Orlando (MCO), Las Vegas (LAS), RENO (RNO), New York City (NYC), Dallas (DFW), Salt Lake City (SLC), and Seattle (SEA).

The motorhome you choose is really a matter of preference, and how many people you need to accommodate in your rental.

Class B RV Rentals

Sunday, February 5th, 2017

Class B RV rentals are compact vehicles set up to make your camping experience more comfortable. Class B RV’s or vans usually sleep 2 or 3 people. Many of these vans are set up with toilets and showers and small kitchens. The amenities in the Class B vans vary depending on where you rent them from so check the vehicle details to see which van is right for your trip. Class B vans can be rented from Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Denver, Miami, New York, Salt Lake City and Seattle. Check the quote program for vehicle availability and pricing.

Las Vegas – Local Attractions

Monday, June 3rd, 2013

Las Vegas was once a city known only for its casinos and mobsters and now it become a family holiday destination. Las Vegas is still a world destination for gambling or gaming as it is now known, with 15 of the world’s largest hotels and casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. Take in a show at one of the many theatres; Celine Dion, Shania Twain, Donnie and Marie, Elvis impersonators, a Beatles tribute band, Michael Jackson’s ONE, there is a show for everyone.

The Freemont Street Experience is a four block long and 90 foot high screen canopying the street below. Every hour there is a neon light show. Walk through the pedestrian mall, play the $5 Blackjack tables, and view the free live entertainment.

Adventuredome theme park is 5 acres of indoor amusement park located at the Circus Circus Hotel. Check out the Canyon Blaster roller coaster, the rock climbing wall, the 18 hole miniature golf course and the Virtual Reality Zone.

Visit Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay which transports you under the sea to a world of dangerous and unusual aquatic animals. The popular Touch pools lets you actually touch sharks, rays and horseshoe crabs. Watch the actions of over 30 sharks from the belly of a sunken pirate ship.

Take a break from the excitement and lights of the city and spend the day in the calmness of the Las Vegas Springs Preserve. Walk the 110 acres of gardens and view the largest collection of Mohave dessert cacti and succulent plants. Or listen to the history of Las Vegas on the two mile ride aboard the trackless train.

RV Rentals For Going to The Burner Festival

Tuesday, March 19th, 2013

Heads Up! I just checked our website this morning for availability for RV rentals going to the Burner Festival. Although some companies are stating that they are sold out for the burning man festival time period, there are others who still have  a few units.  The prices seem pretty good, so it may be worth your time to make a few inquiries.

If this event is on your list of mini-vacations this summer, now is the time to ensure that you have somewhere to sleep when you get there. I understand that the “only” way to go is by RV!

Let us help you book your Burner Friendly RV rental!
