Whether you live in the area, in the USA, or are visiting from another country you will be inspired by the National Parks of Nevada. Rent an RV from USA RV Rentals and start planning your next adventure to the Nevada National Parks.
Great Basin National Park is located in eastern Nevada along the Utah border. For many when we think of Nevada we think of open deserts, the scorching heat, and the neon lights of Las Vegas. Little did we know that 250 miles north of Las Vegas lies permanent snowfields and even a glacier on Wheeler Peak. Make sure you visit Lehman Caves, a unique cavern system with many beautiful limestone formations.
Located about 100 miles east of Las Vegas is Gold Butte National Monument. This little park is only about 300,000 acres but contains so many fascinating places. While most of the rocks are grey limestone and granite there are many outcroppings of red, yellow, and orange Aztec sandstone that have been exposed over the years. Look closely and you will find one of many petroglyphs that were carved into the sandstone thousands of years ago. Take a walk through the abandoned mines and ghost towns of Gold Butte, which was home to many gold and silver mines of the early 20th century. Just another great thing to do in Nevada National Parks.
Lake Mead National Recreation Area began with the completion of the Hoover Dam. The huge artificial lake is responsible for much of the tourism in the area. People come for camping, boating, fishing, swimming, and some camping. Because of the warm temperatures, these activities are year-round.
There is so much to do in Nevada that has nothing to do with gambling. Rent an RV from USA RV Rentals and take an adventure through Nevada National Parks.

Renting an RV and hitting the open road is a dream for a lot of people. Why not make this the year you act on your dream and rent an RV from Los Angeles or San Francisco. California has lots of great places to visit, but if you want to get away from the hustle of everyday life try a road trip to one of the California National Parks.
Yosemite National Park is located in the Sierra Nevadas and became protected land in 1864. In the park, you can see the power of the glaciers as they smoothed and shaped the granite rock. The drive to Glacier Point is almost as spectacular as Glacier Point itself. Take your RV rental to the Point or park at Badger Pass and take a shuttle to the top. Other must-sees in Yosemite are Tioga Pass, Yosemite Falls, and Halfe Dome.
Located south of Yosemite is Sequoia National Park. Here you will see the giant sequoia trees including General Sherman, the largest tree on earth (by volume). While there take a tour through Crystal Cave, visit the Giant Forest Museum, and stop for pictures at Tunnel Log.
Joshua Tree National Park in southeastern California is the meeting place of the Mohave and the Colorado deserts. Along with the Joshua Trees themselves you can see the wonder of nature as water has eroded the rocks in this park. Must see locations are Scull Rock, Barker Dam, Mecca Hills, and Cholla Cactus Garden.
Kings Canyon National Park is located next to and connected to Sequoia National Park. This park is one of the least visited parks due to its lack of roads, it was decided to leave this park as untouched as possible. Most of the park can only be access by overnight backcountry hiking. There are things that you can see without an overnight pack, like Boyden Cavern, Grant Gove, and Kings Canyon Scenic Byway that follows along Kings Canyon.
Death Valley National Park unlike its name sounds is a beautiful desert filled with surprisingly beautiful and vibrate places, but visiting this park in the offseason is much more enjoyable. October through May is the perfect time to visit Death Valley and the temperatures are much more tolerable. Beside RV rental companies will not let you take their RVs into Death Valley in the summer months.
Lassen Volcanic National Park is located 50 miles east of Redding California. The world’s largest volcanic dome lies here. Discover the earths healing powers as you see the devastation that occurred in the 1915 volcanic eruption and how now the flora and fauna flourish between the rocks of the hardened lava. There are 150 miles of trails to explore through this park for all skill levels.
There are many more national parks to visit in California, so get out your calendar and start planning next year’s family RV rental vacation in California or be spontaneous and rent an RV for this weekend and see where the road takes you.

Bryce Canyon isn’t as grand as the Grand Canyon, however, the forest of stone is a unique sight all on its own. After a day of exploring it’s been put to a vote that a burger never tasted so good.
And of course, the Grand Canyon. 277 river miles (446km) long, up to 18 miles (29km) wide, and a mile (1.6km) deep the Grand Canyon overwhelms with its unique combinations of color and sheer size.

Las Vegas Nevada is known for its bright lights and its neon signs. What happens to those signs when they are no longer being used? Well, they go to the Neon Boneyard of course. This 3-acre lot contains over 150 decommissioned signs from Las Vegas’ past, including the original Aladdin’s lamp from Aladdin’s Casino and the original sign from the Golden Nugget. Tours are available daily and try to go at night so that you can see some of the old signs lit up.
Area 51 is located in Lincoln County Nevada. This famous top-secret military testing facility is rumored to be home to aliens and their spaceships. You will not get into Area 51, the closest you will get is to a no trespassing sign. It would make a great story though if you and your Nevada RV rental had to be escorted from the area by armed guards. (USA RV Rentals in no way endorses this behaviour:)
Rhyolite Ghost Town is located 6 miles west of Beatty Nevada. In 1905 in the middle of a gold rush, this town grew to 1500 people. The town boasted a 3 story building, a school for 250 children, hotels, stores, and even an ice plant. 11 years later the lights were turned out and now the only things left were the ruins of a few old buildings.
Visit the International Forest of the Last Church. Over 40 automobiles, including cars, trucks, and vans are scattered around stacked on one another and balanced on their ends. These vehicles have been painted by two artists whose vision was to create a place for people to get out and explore while speaking out against organized religion. You can drive out to Goldfield Nevada in your RV and take your time looking at this exhibit.
How about a stop at the Bristlecone Pines of the Great Basin. These trees are the oldest in the world. One tree named Methuselah is almost 5000 years old.
